Light Up the Darkness produces content across a variety of mediums with the ultimate purpose of making Jesus known. Widely known as an important voice in the faith community, Francie speaks and teaches, sharing how God rescued and redeemed her through the blood of Jesus.
Francie and Dog initially bonded when they met in 2020 and discovered they had both lost spouses to cancer. The pair married in September 2021.
The couple also runs The D.O.G Foundation, which provides housing, counseling, life-skills training, soul healing and intervention services to women who are coming out of abuse, domestic violence, and addiction.
Francie and Dog recently relocated the ministry to Florida and are launching a new podcast, a new book, and a national network of investigators who collaborate to help law enforcement find missing people. They are the proud parents and grandparents to 38.
Francie Chapman is a beacon of hope and transformation whose life story is a testament to the power of resilience and faith. Born and raised in Cutler Bay, just south of Miami, Francie’s early years were marked by both triumph and adversity. As a talented softball player, she earned full athletic scholarships to four colleges in Florida. However, at the age of 15, her world was rocked by the revelation that she was adopted, a truth that would cast a long shadow over her teenage years.
Francie's formative years were marred by profound personal struggles, including enduring sexual abuse and a tumultuous marriage at the age of 17 to a drug dealer. Her life spiraled into a dangerous cycle of drug use and violence, during which she gave birth to two sons. A dramatic and near-fatal confrontation with her abusive husband, during which her eldest son saved her life, prompted her escape to Colorado to reunite with her birth mother.
Finding her birth mother two years before leaving her ex-husband, Francie found the courage to change her life, supported by the newfound connection. In Colorado, she embraced a new chapter on a 60-acre ranch, where she raised cattle, horses, and participated in rodeo activities. Her second marriage, initially promising, turned out to be fraught with betrayal and abuse, including the painful revelation of her husband’s long-term affair with her birth mother.
The turning point in Francie’s life came in 2003 when a friend invited her to church. Hesitant at first, she eventually accepted and, after her third visit, gave her life to Christ. Her newfound faith was challenged by worsening conditions in her marriage, leading to a suicide attempt in 2005. During this dark period, Francie experienced a profound encounter with Jesus while unconscious, solidifying her determination to pursue healing and wholeness.
Determined to transform her life, Francie dedicated the next two years to intense personal and spiritual growth, including certification in Transformation Prayer Ministry. Her journey to health and healing was complemented by entrepreneurial ventures in Colorado, including excavating, snow plowing, and operating two clothing boutiques with a mobile component.
In the midst of her healing journey, Francie met her third husband, Bob, through her spiritual mentors. They shared a loving partnership for ten years until Bob's death from Multiple Myeloma. Devastated but resilient, Francie faced another arduous healing process, which included a prophetic encounter with Dog the Bounty Hunter. Initially unfamiliar with Dog, Francie’s connection with him evolved into a deep and meaningful relationship. After a year of navigating her grief and a surprising phone call from Dog, they married in September 2021.
Today, Francie Chapman and Dog travel the world, sharing their testimonies, preaching, and participating in tent revivals. Francie is also focused on writing a book and helping women nationwide through her ministry, “Come to The Table”, umbrella'd under their ministry "Light Up The Darkness." Her journey is a powerful example of how faith and perseverance can lead to redemption and transformation, inspiring countless others to find hope and healing in their own lives.
